You will get your own Wedding Wish Registry Webpage to share with your guests. You can customize your Gift Registry with your unique Wishes and quantities that you want to receive. You'll get a username and password so that you can monitor your Wish contributions and edit your Online Registry. We'll send you email notifications when guests grant wishes. We can also help you spread the word about your Wedding Wish Gift Registry, tastefully, through email Invitations.

It should take about 10 to 15 minutes to set up your UponOurStar account and Wedding Wish Gift Registry. Once it's set up, you can start using it right away.

Though UponOurStar is a Cash Wedding and Shower Registry that was created for weddings or bridal showers, we welcome you to create Wish Registries for other occasions. It's an honor for us to share in your important life milestones.

Wish for things that will be most meaningful to you, whether it is a trip around the world, a dream home, or an education fund. When you start creating your Wedding Registry, we'll provide dozens of example Wishes that you can use for ideas, or that you can copy into your own Registry.

Ask for more wishes than you think your guests will grant. You don't want to run out of items that guests can afford to, or want to give. Different guests will have different preferences and budgets, so having a large variety and number of Wedding Wishes will ensure that all of your guests can find something they like and can afford.

Create many smaller (cheaper) gift registry items instead of a few large ones, so that every guest can find something they can afford. Guests can always give several items to meet their budget. You should especially have many $20 gifts, because guests will use these as "top ups" to meet their budgets.

To keep things easy and quick, we provide hundreds of Wish Registry images to choose from. For this reason, we don't currently provide a photo upload function.

You can log into your account to monitor your Wedding Wish Gift contributions. You can see how many wishes were granted, how many guests contributed, as well as the details of each guest's contribution.

Absolutely! As your wedding nears, we encourage you to log in to see which wishes are popular, and to add or edit your Wedding Wish Gift Registry to suit guests preferences. The only thing you can not modify is your Wedding Date. Please see the "Wedding Cancelled/Postponed" section to learn more

Simply log in and select "MY ACCOUNT".

There are some emails that you can opt out of receiving. To do so, simply log in and select "MY ACCOUNT". However, some emails, such as Wedding Wish Gift notifications, are a mandatory part of your membership, because they ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for you and your guests.

No problem. Go to the UponOurStar homepage and click on "Forgot your password?" below the log-in section. We'll send your log-in information to the email address we have on file for you.

Once your wedding date has passed, you will be able to select a Withdrawal Date to collect your Wedding Wish Registry funds. Once you select a Withdrawal date, your Wedding Registry will be closed. We will not close your Registry until you take this step.

Once your wedding date has passed, log in and select "COLLECT FUNDS". You will be able to choose a Withdrawal Date. You will be asked to provide your banking information so that you can receive your Wedding Wish Registry Funds directly into your bank account. A bank transfer is highly secure and traceable, which is why it's our method of choice.

UponOurStar does not profit from the fee that is withheld from your total Wedding Wish Registry funds. Like everything else, banks and credit card companies charge a fee to process and deposit guests' contributions securely. You will not pay for this directly. Instead, a small amount of 2.5% will be withheld from your total Funds and will be paid directly to credit card companies. Lastly, a one-time $15 fee will be paid directly to the Bank in the same way, to set up a secure and traceable direct deposit into your Bank account, so that your Wish Gift Registry Funds are safely delivered to you.

You will be able to withdraw your Wish Gift Registry Funds once your wedding date has passed. It can take up to 10 business days from your selected Withdrawal Date to process and deposit your Registry Funds into your Bank Account.

No, your wedding date must have passed in order for you to collect your Wish Gift Registry Funds.

Your final Wish Gift Registry Funds Funds will be paid to you in one lump payment. Once you select your Withdrawal date, the entire amount in your Wish Gift Registry Funds will be deposited into your bank account.

If it has been more than 14 business days past your selected Withdrawal Date, please contact us at info@uponourstar.com so that we will check on the status of your Wish Gift Registry Funds.

Yes. Bank transfers are highly secure, which is why this is our method of choice to get your Wish Gift Registry Funds to you. Bank transfers are safe and traceable, and unlike paper cheques, there is no risk of being lost or re-directed in the mail.

In order to securely and correctly transfer your funds into your bank account, we need your banking information. Your bank will help you get the correct information.

If your wedding is postponed to a later date, please contact us with the new date so that we can update your account and your Wedding Wish Registry Webpage.

If the wedding is cancelled, you will be able to collect any funds that have been contributed, after the planned wedding date. Simply log in after the planned date, and select "COLLECT FUNDS". Please note that you will be responsible for addressing any guests' requests for refunds.

Each Gift: The price of each gift. Sometimes big (expensive) wishes will be divided into smaller, more affordable gift units.
Requested: The quantity of gift units that the Couple requested
Received: The quantity of gift units that the Couple Received

Yes. After you select and confirm the wish(es) that you want to grant, you can enter a personal message. Your message will be included in a Wedding Gift Notification to the Couple that will let them know that you have contributed to their Wedding Wish Gift Registry.

Yes. The couple will have a record of all of their Wedding Wish Gift Registry items that have been granted to them. They will be able to see which gifts you contributed, along with your personal message to them.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. If you choose to pay by American Express, you will be required to pay an additional 1.6% on your total wedding gift amount. This is because American Express charges higher fees than other cards. UponOurStar does not profit from the additional fee. May we suggest that you save your money by paying with Visa or Mastercard?

Only Canadian residents are required to pay HST (Harmonized Sales Tax). The amount is very small - about 0.78% of your total Wedding Gift contribution, which usually amounts to a few cents.

Once your Wedding Gift Contribution is processed, your funds will be held in a secure, non-interest bearing bank account on behalf of the Bride and the Groom. After their wedding date has passed, the Couple will be able to securely withdraw the funds.

Yes. After you have completed your payment, UponOurStar will send you a Payment Confirmation email for your records.
